We are a primary school with an expat/Nigerian population that provides international education for children of ages 3 11. We are an inclusive school which runs the English National Curriculum in English and Maths as well as the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Bonny Island, Rivers
Job Objective
- To plan and deliver teaching/learning in Art for ages 3-11 based on the school curriculum with links to the International
- Primary Curriculum while maintaining a conducive learning environment within the classroom.
Job Specification
- Manage a class, develop, and deliver Art lessons based on approved school curriculum
- Support activities that promote learning within and outside the school
- Establish and maintain standards of behaviour needed to provide an orderly and productive (learning focused) environment during class sessions.
Educational Qualifications
- B.Ed. or B.A (PGDE/PGCE) in Art with minimum of 2nd Class Honours Lower Division (2:2)
- Possession of TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) Certificate is an added advantage.
- Possession of NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) Certificate/Exemption Letter
Experience:
- Minimum of three years experience in teaching Art in a similar school setting (ideally from EY to Year 6)
