RS Hunter Limited is recruiting to fill the following position:
Job Title: Assistant Chef
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the storage of food, both incoming stock and leftovers.
- Assist head Chefs test new recipes.
- Ensure cleanliness in kitchen in accordance with Company standards.
- Keep track of what supplies they use to aid in re-ordering supplies as necessary..
- Responsible for preparing items prior to a meal service, such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or cleaning seafood..
- Responsible for preparing food as directed by a Head chef, plating dishes in an attractive way, and ensuring the quality of different dishes.
- Assist head chefs to develop and test new recipes, and maintain records of what food has been prepared and what ingredients were used.
- Complies with all safety and security policies in accordance with Company standards.
- Responsible for running the kitchen in the head chef's absence.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience preferred
- Professional mannerism and ability to work in a team
- Stand/Walk for an extended period of time.
