Responsibilities
- The Marine Operations Manager will lead and manage all aspects of vessel operations and resources to deliver cost effective, timely and high quality services to customers. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Marine Operations Manager will:
- Carry out regular assessment of KPIs on HSE, cost, schedule, quality, responsiveness to client, e.t.c.
- Resolution of day to day operational issues.
- Ensure scheduling, implementation and tracking of all routine preventative maintenance and emergent corrective maintenance and other related tasks in an organized and orderly manner
- Operating expenditure within approved budget and within company's polices and approving authorities
- Day to day operational decisions in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Will Manage 3 direct reports - Technical Manager, Port Engineer and Operations Superintendent.
Requirements
- Good first degree in an engineering discipline
- Professional qualifications will be a plus
- A minimum of 12 years in the oil and gas business, with a demonstrable track record of not less than 10 years in fleet management.
- Previous experience with IOCs will be desirable
- A fundamental understanding of key subjects including HSE, cost, time, quality and customer management
- Extensive experience in ship building, ship repair and in dry dock operations
- Must be confident with excellent written and oral communication.
- Must have good people skills
