Job Title: Marketing Executive (Hotel)
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Description
As a Hotel Marketing executive, your tasks includes:
- Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations;
- Responsible for meeting the sales targets of the organization.
- Communicating with target audiences and managing customer relationships;
- Devise strategies and techniques necessary for achieving the sales targets.
- Map out potential customers and generate leads for the organization.
- Generating new opportunities for the organization.
- Sourcing advertising opportunities and placing adverts in the press – local, regional, national and specialist publications – or on the radio, depending on the organisation and the campaign;
- Managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters and DVDs;
- Maintaining and updating customer databases;
- Organising and attending events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions;
- Sourcing and securing sponsorship;
- Conducting market research, for example using customer questionnaires and focus groups;
- Contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies;
- Managing budgets;
- Evaluating marketing campaigns;
- Monitoring competitor activity;
Personal Specification
- Must be an HND or B/Sc Holder in Catering & Hotel Management cadre or other related courses.
- Proven experience in marketing role.
- Must be an aggressive Marketer.
- Ability to work well in multidiscipline/cross-functional teams.
- Must be a goal-getter.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build close-knit relationships with outside agencies.
- Strong analytical, administrative and organisation skills and great attention to detail.
- Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm.
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and multi task.
- Good communicator.
- Ability to drive customers/clients
