Description
Our client is a five-year DFID-funded programme in Nigeria which commenced operations in May 2016, the programme supports the development of stronger public-sector accountability to deliver public goods and services required for poverty reduction and growth, including to women and girls by strengthening links between governance reforms and service delivery. Our client works through three pillars geared towards the goal of bringing accountable public administration, resource management and delivery of public services at the state level and at the federal level.

Our client is seeking dynamic, dedicated and results-driven individuals to assume the role of Finance & Operations Manager in the North-East office of the programme in Nigeria.

Summary of the Role

  • The Finance & Operations Manager will support the Reform Manager in the budgeting, forecasting, disbursement and accounting for programme funds in the North-East
  • S/he will support in establishing and ensuring the smooth functioning of all administrative, logistical and security systems
  • The individual will be responsible for providing financial management guidance and support to the North-East team including preparation of budgets, managing facilities and assets, acting as first point of reference for staff on queries regarding administrative issues and assisting on monitoring security procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Interested candidates for the role of Finance & Operations Manager should have a Degree preferably in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or any similar discipline
  • S/he must have a minimum of three years of experience in accounting for a donor funded organization
  • The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of operational procedures and accounting standards as well as working excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages especially excel
  • S/he should also demonstrate excellent negotiation skills, report writing skills and team spirit.

Terms and Conditions for Employment

  • The role is based in Yobe / Borno with travels to other operational offices in the North especially North East of Nigeria
