Willers Solutions Limited - Our client, a reputable Oil and Gas firm is looking to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Equipment Operator

Location: Port-Harcourt, Rivers

Responsibilities

  • Works alongside the Supervisor to ensure that set targets are achieved as it relates to projects.
  • Assist the Supervisor in developing work schedules for operators and carry out daily routine and non-routine operations with the Operators in line with HSE considerations to prevent HSE incidents and accidents.
  • Ensure that defects as observed are reported and maintenance effectively followed up by carrying out safety checks during the performance of maintenance activities in order to prevent unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Carry out proactive monitoring of the process conditions and ensure that the operating parameters are kept within the limits specified by industry standards as well as the company guidelines.
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance in accordance with appropriate procedures and maintain communication with the Supervisor to enhance proper permits to work documentation preparation.
  • Acknowledge the signed job completion certificates/permit and monitors the satisfactory completion of the job to ensure safe recommissioning of equipment back to service.
  • Assist the Supervisor in the training and development of Operators to enhance improvement in their overall performance on the job.

Qualifications

  • Competency Certification
  • Must have at least 10 years’ experience in working in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Must be physically / medically fit in order to operate heavy and power-driven equipment.
