Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- The ideal candidate should be creative and innovative problem solver who is driven and will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain several middle-ware interfaces and services for banks.
- You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and enhancing the existing services and developing new functionality, primarily in Java and SQL
- Work with client, developers, business analysts, and development managers
- Take complete ownership of deliverables from inception to roll-out, working largely independently
- Interface with client and offshore team
- Participate as part of a global development team
- Work alongside production support teams to roll out changes/new functionality.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters Degree (or Equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline
- A year of experience with Java technologies and frameworks
- Java and basic knowledge on midrange development skills (Java/JavaEE, Web services, Hibernate, JDBC(SQL), Web Sphere v8.x or higher, Eclipse and etc)
- Basic Linux (RHEL 7.x or higher) and AIX skills including advanced shell scripting.
- Ability to understand framework concepts
- Fluent in Java including ORM related libraries
- Understanding of RESTful principles, best practices, and related technologies
- Ability to work independently
- Very good communication skills
- Strong MS Suite skills
- Strong attention to detail, confident enough to raise questions and identified.
