Colgene Taxi is a corporate taxi company leveraging technology to connect drivers to riders. We use smart phone applications available on IOS and Android phones to provide safe, comfortable and reliable movement in the city of Abuja. Our services include: Pickups, Driver's Administration, Fleet management, Corporate Transportation Services, Ride-hailing, Hire Purchase, and Colgene Automobile Care Service. We employ the services of professional and well-trained drivers to guarantee our riders safety and comfort.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Driver

Location: Gwarimpa, Abuja

Job Summary

• We are looking to hire a Driver who demonstrates a client-oriented approach, high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different backgrounds.

Responsibilities
The driver will be responsible for the following:

• Performs daily inspection of all vehicles to ensure cleanliness, functionality and safety. Report any issue to logistics officer
• Ensure that vehicles are kept perfect and clean at all times by washing both the inside and outside parts of the vehicle
• Carry out routine checks on vehicles and ensure they are sound
• Perform periodic maintenance on vehicles, such as changing batteries and motor oil at appropriate time, as well as refuelling the car(s) water, brakes, tires, etc
• Report any case of accident, injury or damage of vehicles to the Admin team
• Dress professionally and in accordance with company’s dress code
• Performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs, regular servicing and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean and trip ready.
• Ensures that the steps required by the rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in a crash
• Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested
• Assist clients with loading and unloading their luggage
• Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
• Answer clients’ questions about the area and local places of interest
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Availability to take up weekend and night shifts
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
• Can communicate politely in English
• Must reside within Abuja
• Must be ready for immediate engagement.
• Must have a minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be a very dedicated and committed individual
• Must be willing to travel when required
• Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
• Must pay attention to detail
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Driver, clean safe driving record with no traffic violations (within a corporate environment is an added advantage)
• Age: Not more than 45 years.
• Proficient knowledge of roads / routes in Abuja.
• Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
• Familiarity with GPS, Google Maps devices
• Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
• Must be able to drive long distance.
