Job Title: Program Manager (Telco Charging System)
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Manages the Charging System.
- Develops and expands solutions to improve efficiency and capacity.
- Aligns and informs team members and stakeholders on roles and responsibilities, awareness of project scope, milestones, etc.
- Drives project work to completion, using good judgment in determining when to escalate issues internally;
- Participates in program reviews, technical interchange meetings/reviews, and engineering team meetings;
- Establishes relationships with customers to ensure successful execution of projects.
- Supports project financial planning and analysis.
- Prepares internal and external briefing material and presentations.
- Helps develop strategies for system integration of future technology.
- Mentors the next level of teams for growth and capability development.
- Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
- Manages account level delivery projects and efficiencies as well as relationship, engagement and expectation management.
- Manages vendors to ensure delivery.
Qualification
- First Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent
- Fluent in English
- Master's Degree is advantageous.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years experience in Program/Delivery management in the Telecom domain.
- Experience in implementing/designing Digital Transformation projects.
- Experience of implementing/designing BSS solutions on Mediation, Rating, Charging, VAS, Convergent Billing, Revenue Assurance, Business Intelligence, and ETL.
- Experience of integration activities for complex IT and Telecom BSS solutions.
- Experience in pre-sales activities through developing solution proposals, project size, and cost estimation.
- Strong hands-on experience writing High-Level/Detail Solution Design documents and SOW.
- Strong Business Analysis skills with the ability to define and interpret business and technical requirements.
- Experience in working on-site and remotely with the customers? Subject Matter Experts and management team to define business and system requirements for successful deployment of solutions and services.
- Ability to manage relationships and expectations of the customer and work with staff at all levels.
- Implementation experience should have covered at a minimum 2 end-to-end COTS implementation or System Integration projects.
- Good track record in delivering high quality projects in time.
- Candidate must have in-depth experience of using standard program/project management methodologies (PMP, Prince2) and software engineering methodologies complying with international quality standards such as ISO or CMM.
- Candidate must have experience of handling multi-supplier engagements with strong skills in contract/scope management.
- Strong working experiences in multinationals and multicultural environments with good customer facing, strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must have experience of managing project budgets and accountability for program P&L.
