Job Title: Business Planning Manager (Systems & Processes)

Division: Customer Relations
Location: Lagos
Reporting To: SM, Total Quality Management

Job Description:
  • Lead and direct team in providing necessary system and application support (application configuration/interface analysis; new enhancement analysis)
  • Conduct Process creation and improvement
  • Develop cross functional strategy documents, policies and procedures that remain aligned to CR Objectives.
  • Provide functional support in project delivery as pertains to CR’s deliverables
  • Provide project and operational support for delivery of channels required to support MyCustomer.
  • Provide project and operational support to business units in testing, piloting, research.
  • Provide awareness on new products and services to the frontline.
  • Provide support to CR Back office on IS/NWG related requests.
  • Provide continuous improvements to CR Systems
  • Represent and act as a gate point for IS/NWG project and operational related request to and
  • From CR.
  • Develop internal and external sources of intelligence on a continuous basis and integrate /manage data and information from diverse sources to guide strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with other business units and develop business models and frameworks that support business decisions and business planning.
  • Carry out industry-related research and analysis, Identifying viable business opportunities and trends and developing approaches and actions to pre-empt or respond to business needs.
  • Review market research and assess their relevance to the business and activities of the organization, as well as identify implications for MTNN and possible responses.
  • Carry out periodic business process optimization and workflow reviews with the aim of achieving effectiveness of processes and improving operational efficiency.
  • Compile metrics required to measure business processes and performance, build tools and job aids for monitoring performance and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention in critical areas for constant improvement.
  • Deploy and integrate resources effectively for the successful execution of CR projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and according to specification.
  • Track, monitor and control all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring project is kept within scope, within budget, of expected quality, risks are identified and mitigated and related contracts are administered effectively.
  • Review issues and problems in relation to projects, identifying project risks and recommending actions to mitigate the risks.
  • Track and document project performance, issues and challenges and prepare regular project status reports.
  • Maintain database of records, data and information for planning and optimization of activities.
  • Identify training requirements of team members, develop program to address knowledge gaps and to enrich knowledge repository within the department.
  • Review performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.
Job Conditions:
Normal MTNN working conditions May be required to work extended hours

Required Skills:
  • First degree in a Social Science discipline
  • An MBA will be an added advantage
  • 8 years relevant work experience covering the following areas
  • Business Planning
  • Research
  • Design and management of PPPs
  • Project Management
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory/ managerial capacity
