Headmaster / Headmistress at University of Benin

The University of Benin was founded in 1970. It started as an Institute of Technology and was accorded the status of a full-fledged University by National Universities Commission (NUC) on 1st July, 1971. In his Budget Speech in April 1972, the then Military Governor of Mid-Western State, Col. S. O. Ogbemudia (then also Visitor to the University) formally announced the change of the name of the Institute of Technology to the University of Benin. On 1st April, 1975 the University at the request of the State Government, was taken over by the Federal Government and became a Federal University.

Job Title: Headmaster / Headmistress - CONTISS 14

Location: Benin City, Edo

The Position

• Applicants for the post of Headmaster / Headmistress must be a Deputy Headmaster / Headmistress and must have in the past, exhibited considerable degree of competency on matters relating to the position of a Headmaster / Headmistress.

Qualifications

• A B.Ed Degree from a recognized University plus 18 years teaching experience
• Master's Degree / Ph.D and computer literacy are an added advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Service

• Salary: CONTISS 14 (N1,870,907.96 - N2,386,772.00 per annum)
• The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of Headmaster / Headmistress of all Nigerian Federal Universities Staff School and as may be determined from time-to-time by the Government / Governing Council as appropriate.
