We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Junior Software Developer (Front End)

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Work closely with design, product management, and development teams to create elegant, usable, responsive and interactive interfaces across multiple devices
  • An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment and bring in optimal flow for rapidly changing design/ technology
  • Use markup languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
  • Write functional requirement documents and guides
  • Create quality mock-ups and prototypes
  • Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
  • Interact with project stakeholders for requirements gathering and ongoing project management
  • Deliver on projects according to pre-agreed timelines
  • Participate in execution and documentation of tests
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or any related field
  • 1-2 years work experience in Software Development, fresh graduates may apply if they demonstrate strong software development potential
  • A good understanding of the FINTECH Industry
  • Proven work experience as a Front-end developer
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including CSS & HTML5
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc. is an added advantage
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial / SVN.
