The above mentioned school in University of Benin Teaching Hospital Benin City is a Monetechnic in (Health Profession) that has been accredited by the regulatory bodies. That is, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN) and the Joint Admission Matriculation Board/Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Two Years National Diploma (ND) and Two years Higher National Diploma (HND) of the school in University of Benin Teaching Hospital Benin City.
Entry Requirements:
A.) National Diploma Programme (ND)
- Prospective candidates must obtain a minimum of five (5) credit passes at not more than two sittings at WAEC, SSCE, GCE or NECO in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- And any other subject from: Physics Geography, Economics and Government
- Candidates who wrote the 2014 JAMB/UTME and met the Cut-off mark of at least 150 are eligible to apply.
B.) Higher National Diploma Programme (HND)
- Candidates must possess the National Diploma (ND) Certificates in Health information Management in addition to meeting the requirements for the normal admission as stipulated in ‘Ai’ above
- Technician Certificates in Health Information Management from Schools or Colleges of Health Technology may be considered for admission if such schools have been accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). Such candidates must meet the requirements stipulated in “Ai” above.
- Candidates with Technician Certificates in (HIM) who had Upper Credit and above may be considered for admission into the HND I Programme, provided the entry requirements stipulated in Ai” above are met.
- Candidates must possess Certificates or letters of One-Year Industrial Training (LT) from a reputable Health industry,
Note:
Pass in the National Diploma Programme with at least three (3) years working experience in a government health establishment will be considered for admission into HND Programme.

- Application forms are obtainable from the office of the Head of School of Health information Management, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City.
- Candidates are to pay a non-refundable fee of Five Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N5,500.00) only; payable into the Schools Account with (FIDELITY BANK, UNIBEN Branch). Benin City
- Interested candidates are to obtain the Customized Bank Teller from the school before commencing the payment in the above mentioned Bank.
