Job Descriptions

  • Assist Telephone Technician in maintenance, repair and installation of telephone lines and equipment.
  • Assist with maintaining communications with hotel and corporate staff. Assist in overall operation and service extended to guests, staff and retail stores. As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task in other sections

What will I be doing?

  • As a Telephone Technician, you are to assist in maintenance, repair and installation of telephone lines and equipment.
  • Assist with maintaining communications with hotel and corporate staff. Assist in overall operation and service extended to guests, staff and retail stores.
  • Respond to requests for placement, removal or repair of telephones and telephone jacks in staff offices, retail stores, exhibit halls, meeting and guestrooms
  • Assure properly working telephones including condition and appearance of public and house telephones. Coordinate any necessary repairs or replacements of all related equipment.
  • Assist vendors. Analyze, prioritize and appropriately respond to trouble tickets.
  • Handle all telephone order forms and electrical requests.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of telephone equipment room.
  • Conduct scheduled weekly and monthly tests on equipment as directed by managers and supervisors.
  • Ability Multitask in other sections when called upon.

What are we looking for?

  • A Telephone Technician, who will assist in maintenance, repair and installation of telephone lines and equipment.
  • Assist with maintaining communications with hotel and corporate staff. Assist in overall operation and service extended to guests, staff and retail stores
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently to interact with staff.
  • Ability to effectively deal with employees and guests.
  • Leadership ability.
  • Ability to read and comprehend service orders and equipment handbooks for telecommunications knowledge.
  • Ability to read color coded cables or wires and have considerable telecommunications knowledge.
  • Ability to carry heavy items and equipment weighing up to 30kg.
  • Basic installation experience.
  • Problem solving and prioritizing skills.
