We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Lifting Engineer
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- To work closely with Project Management Team, Rigging & Equipment Department and others to provide direction and guidance to construction sequences and methods.
- To develop detailed procedures for lifting, movement and transportation including rigging and slinging details.
- Perform weight control engineering to ensure accuracy of weight and centre of gravity information.
- Work with Rigging & Equipment Department to ensure installation and use of equipment is in accordance with procedures.
- Work with client's representatives on review and approval of procedures.
Qualification and Experience
- B.Eng. in any Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years Construction Engineering in the oil and gas construction industry.
- Familiar with construction methods for Jackets, Decks and Piles, including methods of lifting, stacking, roll-up, weighing, load-out etc.
- Familiar with international codes and standards governing steel construction (AISC, DNV etc).
- Software: Proficient in using structural analysis software.
