Job Description:
The ideal candidate:
- Must be a graduate with flair for writing and good knowledge of editing.
- Must have a minimum of two years work experience in a similar capacity.
- Must be a female and reside in Lagos.
- Must be able to cross check the facts, spellings, grammar, writing style, design pages, photos etc.
- Must be able to write Editorial contents/articles for the magazine.
- Must possess basic interview techniques/skills.
- Must be willing to deliver under tight deadlines.
- Must be able to identify and reject any piece of writing that appears to be plagiarized or ghost written by a writers.
- Shall make light as well as heavy edits to all the content for publication.
- Shall be responsible for all the content that is approved for publishing.
- Shall ensure publication's standards of performance as the Editor in Chief.
- Shall motivate and develop the staff under him as occasion may demand.
- Shall set various guidelines and policies for his subordinates.
- Shall conduct team meetings on a regular basis, which will keep his team members updated. Assigning responsibilities to all team members and ensuring that they are completed on time.
- Shall see to it that each issue/edition is full of content and no area is left empty.
- Shall provide appropriate orientation for new employees.
- Shall give team members the information technology and reference materials necessary to perform their jobs.
