We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with major service partners to ensure scheduled, turnaround and emergency maintenance.
  • Overseeing operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance etc)
  • Lead all the project development activities including land acquisition and regulatory clearances etc.
  • Coordinating with public sector and liaison with regulatory bodies
  • Essential quality shall be demonstrable execution skills and leading from “the front”. Completing projects within the budget and schedule. Assessing capital cost involved and execution with world class standards using project evaluation techniques and models.
  • Co-coordinating the procurement activities- tendering and bid management, estimations, techno-commercial evaluations, negotiations etc.
  • Identifying vendors on the basis of service, quality, handling negotiation, finalization and procurement of different equipments required.
  • Implementing effective and efficient internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Ultimate responsibility for the Income statement or functional level for the integrity of the financial statements and compliance to IFRS, FIRS and other reporting / regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Ensuring effective procedures and controls surrounding the timely closing of the financial records including review for accuracy (including cut-off and classification), variance analysis and explanation, business review.
  • Reconciliation, Analysis and Monitoring of Accounts & Budgeting/Forecasting
  • Overseeing P&L and functional controlling team with primary focus, but not limited to, receivable management, payable management, inventory management, capital investment, demand creation investments (and structure).
  • Working closely with operations to assist in the preparation of strategic plans
  • Performing self- assessments of the control environment, preparing and delivering improvement plans.
  • Preparing final accounts of PHED -Consolidated statement of Income, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, accompanying notes etc
  • Improvement of weekly, monthly & quarterly reporting
  • Assisting on ad hoc projects eg. Implementation of SAGE X3 ERP, Business Process re-engineering, Business backward integrations etc.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years working experience as a Chief Financial Officer
  • Persons interested as Independent Finance Officer can apply
  • Only degree holder (B.Sc)

  • Financial / Internal Control Analysis and Review
  • Financial and IS Audit Process, IS Security and Controls
  • Financial Audit and Risk Management
  • Projects Management and Review and Implementation
  • Business Process Improvement and Risk Evaluation, Mitigation and Management – Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning
  • Tax Management, Computation and Reporting
  • Investment Analysis and Appraisal
  • Professional hands-on experience on SAP, IDEA, Oracle Financials and SAGE Line 500 business applications
  • Good understanding of Audit and Taxation requirements within the Africa continent- Have good experience having worked as lead consultants/Team Lead in various assignment in various countries in Africa
  • Expert knowledge, understanding and implementation of the International Financial reporting Standard, IFRS.
