The Ekiti State University, wishes to inform all graduands, parents, guardians and the general public as well as friends of the University that the activities marking its 19th Convocation Ceremony will take place as scheduled below:

Monday, 24th March, 2014

Tuesday, 25th March, 2114

(I) Event: Public Presentation of Emeritus Professor Akinjide Guntokun’s
Book, titled: “Domestic and Foreign Dimensions of Nigeria’s Politics
Venue: Main Auditorium
Time: 4.00pm
Guest of Honour: His Excellency, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti State

Thursday, 27th March, 2014

(i) Event: Convocation Lecture
Venue: Main Auditorium
Time: 11.00 a.m
Guest Lecturer: Professor Adebayo Olukoshi,
Topic: “Africa: Meeting the Challenges of Leadership for a Changing World”

(ii) Event: Vice-Chancellor’s Night
Venue: 3,000-Lecture Theatre, University Main Campus, Ado - Ekiti

Event: Award of First Degrees and Prizes
Venue: MainAuditorium

Event: Award of Higher Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas and Prizes

General Information

i.) The Convocation ceremonies will involve the students who graduated from the University in 2011 / 2012 academic session in all programmes.

ii.) Academic robes and invitation cards will be available for collection from Faculty Officers/Secretaries of Faculties/ Schools / Programmes from Thursday, 27th March, 2014 upon payment of the prescribed charges as follows:

First Degree/Diplomas                         - N5,000.00
Masters/Post Graduate Diplomas        - N7,500 00
Ph.D. Degree                                       - N15,000.00

iii.) The above charges are to be paid at any First Bank Plc, nationwide via e-tranzact. A receipt will be issued by the bank.

iv.) The e-tranzact receipt of payment for robes/IV Card should be kept intact as it will be required for collection of certificates or transcripts in future, otherwise such individuals will pay again for the robes and IV cards along with the cost of certificate/transcript.
  • Log onto http://convocation.eksu.edu.ng and submit your details (Matric Number, Name, Faculty, Department and year of graduation)
  • Kindly pay the stipulated amount with MasterCard or Verve Card and print your on-line receipt.
v.) The deadline for the submission of academic robes is Tuesday, 1st April, 2014, after which a late submission charge of One Thousand Naira (N1,000.00) per day will be paid.

vi.) Damage or loss of an academic robe will attract a penalty of N25,000

Invitation Cards For Graduating Students

Each graduating student is entitled to two invitation cards. The invitation cards and a set of academic robe would be available for collection on presentation of e-tranzact receipt. Convocation Brochure will be distributed to accredited graduands inside the hall.
