CM Hospital, a reputable faith-based hospital that was founded in 1993, is licensed as a specialist hospital offering obstetrics/gynaecology, paediatrics, ophthalmology, ultrasound scan, medical supplies, consultancy and other general medical services which are found in our attached, long-term health care facility. CM is fully-accredited by the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and offers a quality medical staff base.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Consultant Paediatrician

Location: Enugu

Job Descriptions

  • Prescribing medication and giving detailed instructions for administration
  • Examine and treat injuries and refer the little patients to physicians of other disciplines when necessary
  • Keep updated records of patientsТ illnesses, surgeries or other medical records.
  • Conduct thorough examinations on newborn and young children to check and record their health and normal physical development.
  • Examine sick children and reaching an informed diagnosis
  • Ensuring that patient care is optimal and in adherence to the clinicТs guidelines.
  • Establish a good working relationship with other departments
  • Maintenance of a high standard of medical practice.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Christian, and possess godly Christian core values
  • The ideal candidate should have 5 years experience in neonatology special care baby unit general paediatric care
  • Qualifications should include Part 1 and or part 2 in FWACP or a national fellowship in paediatrics Fellowships
  • Basic qualification, MBBS.
  • Applicants must possess post NYSC experience; a minimum of 3 years experience desirable.
  • Primaries qualification in paediatrics is desirable.
  • Neonatal intensive care skills/certification will also be an added advantage.
  • Training/certification in BLS/PALS and Neonatal Resuscitation an advantage.
  • Full registration and affiliation with relevant bodies with current licenses.

Skill Set and Requirements:

  • Warm to patients and parents, empathetic, resourceful, innovative, knowledgeable and willing to learn. Organized and a good team player.
  • Ability to lead, trustworthy, good at documentation and open-minded.
  • Knowledge of patient safety.
  • Must reside in Enugu.
