Job Title: Deputy Editor
Location: Lagos
Requirements and Responsibilities
- 5 or more years experience working with senior editors on building content and managing writers.
- Extensive clips as a writer/reporter for a notable print or digital publication.
- Strong familiarity with Nigerian and West African celebrities, socialites and other notables.
- Bachelors Degree in Journalism, Communications or English.
- Work Closely with Editor of Hello! to create key franchises for the publication.
- Core to these duties will be building relationships with and coordinate with photographers, reporters and contributors around the globe to traffic stories for web and print.
- Reports to Editor.
- Supervises Staff Writers and Contributors.
- Required to attend all editorial meetings.
