We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Executive

Location: Lagos

Detailed Description

  • We are Service Providers in the Telecommunications industry, with operations spread across several countries in Africa. We are currently undergoing transformation to better position us towards achieving our goals and require the services of a competent Legal, Regulatory & Compliance Executive.
  • The successful candidate is expected to direct and control the provision of effective legal services to the Organisation.
  • Ensure the highest quality of legal/compliance advice is provided in the most efficient manner as may be required, and also provide assistance to the Board of Directors in the daily business activities by performing all required secretarial activities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities are broadly grouped into Compliance, Governance Administration and Company Secretariat Management. Below are some responsibilities but not limited to these:
  • Take Minutes of meetings, draft resolutions, and lodge required forms and annual returns with the Corporate Affairs Commissions CAC
  • Maintaining a complete set of Board papers at the Company’s main office
  • Oversee the Company’s compliance program and ensure all Company legislative obligations are met
  • Ensure all requirements of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, Cap C20 LFN 2004, and any other applicable laws are fully met
  • Maintain a Register of Company Policies as approved by the Board; Maintaining, updating and ensuring that all directors have an up-to-date copy of the Board Charter and associated governance documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law
  • Member of Nigerian Bar Association
  • Professional membership of ICSA
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar capacity, in a private limited company.
