In accordance with Central West Africa (CWA) Cluster career development and planned succession, Maersk Nigeria Limited seeks a candidate to take up the position of Human Resources Business Partner. This generalist role requires an HR Professional in possession of the full suite of HR skills-sets and competencies - an erudite and eloquent person who has practical experience in all spheres of the Human Resources discipline.
Key Job Specifications: This job is specifically for Graduates with First Degree in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management and/or Humanities and/or Social Sciences.
2-5 years (or more) experience in a Human Resources role (non-negotiable)

Key Accountabilities:
BUSINESS PERFORMANCE Work closely with assigned business units and functions and participate in the development of business strategies. Ensure these business strategies are translated into practical and prioritized HR strategies that support the business.
Identify business requirements and obtain, where relevant timely intervention and advice from other members of the HR team.
Provide feedback to Cluster HR Manager on functional expectations and the impact of any HR interventions / policies.
HR Projects and Surveys
RECRUITMENT Build organisational capacity.
Support the business in sourcing and developing world class employees
Play a strong and direct role in ensuring all resourcing decisions feature no compromise in quality of candidates.
Build networks internally and externally to assist with talent spotting for future roles.
Ensure and champion diversity initiatives
Apply psychometric instruments and interpret results
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT Coach and facilitate the coaching of managers to achieve best practice in team management
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues through open, honest and highly influential communications
Talent development and retention
Organize, administer and give support to all learning and development in Nigeria in accordance with Company policy on learning and development.
Ensure world-class Learning and Development competencies and provide framework for managing career development.
HR SERVICE DELIVERY Ensure delivery of functional world class HR
Ensure accurate and relevant monthly reporting
Ensure accuracy of HR data
Present HR events and training to the business
Ensure execution of organizational change initiatives within the different business units and functions.
Provide input and implement HR policies
PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT Effective championing of a performance based company culture
Ensure employees with unacceptable Performance Appraisal ratings are effectively managed to ensure increase in performance level alternatively exited from the organization
Ensure that employees within scope of responsibility are fully engaged with performance calendar
NATURE & SCOPE (nature of job) Responsible for ensuring seamless HR service delivery process between business units and business partners.
