Job Title: Health & Safety Officer

Location: Bayelsa

Job Description

• Ensure preparation and implementation of Site Safety and Health Plans and inspect the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment.
• Ensure the practice of safe working techniques.
• Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.
• Maintain compliance of all safety regulations.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques.
• Standardize health and safety in order to remain consistent.
• Compile and Promote safety initiatives.
• Regularly inspect plant equipment to ensure it is within safety standards and policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

• BSc / BA in Safety Management, Engineering or relevant field is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a safety officer.
• Valid competency certificates.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
