Job description
  • ICSS Functional Analysis Engineer will be a specialist with vast knowledge of project development in as applicable to Process and Safety systems functional interpretations and interfaces functionalities with various packages and subsea control system.
  • He will Provide assistance under the Egina ICSS Manager, the operations input in the development of the Field global Control and Safety Systems (covering Wells Completions, SPS Facilities, FPSO Topsides and Hull, Vendors Packages, UFR) to ensure that operations requirements are consistently met through the design and acceptance testing of the various control and safety systems.
  • Provide and ensure correct interpretation of Total General Specifications as applicable to all Standard Function block design.
  • Participate in ICSS Standard Function Acceptance Test (SFAT) and ensure that all punch-list are closed out.
  • Update Standard Function Block Functional Analysis specifications in line with test results.
  • Ensure identification of new Standard Function Block Functional Analysis specifications that to be development in line Egina operating philosophy.
  • Perform the above duties, with a need to liaise with the other Packages (SPS, UFR, and Drilling) to ensure operational acceptability of the design of the global Field ICSS. Participate in the ICSS FATs and IFATs accordingly.
  • Review updated Functional Analysis specifications in line with FAT results.
  • Follow up development of specific field operation control sequence tools such as OCWR, OFMS etc
  • Participate in commissioning activities in the actual deployment, integration and testing of the ICSS systems on the FPSO and more generally in the Instrumentation commissioning activities.
  • Provide assistance regarding the ICSS design and functionalities to the Operations Technical Support, the Production and the Maintenance / Inspection teams as required to allow them to perform their preparation activities related to facilities hand-over, start-up and normal operations.
  • Participate in the review of key engineering documents.
  • Follow-up of Contractor and Sub-contractors activities – detailed engineering, construction engineering, procurement, model tests and inclining experiments - related to field instrumentation, process control, safety systems and package PLC integration and ensure compliance with Company/Project specifications and with the requirements of the project documentation.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with other packages.
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with DEV/TEC/IC by making best use of métiers structure and networks, obtain assistance from, selected contractors and consultants as appropriate.
Qualification:
  • Degree in Electronics engineering.
  • Experience: At least ten years in Instrumentation, Process control and safety system (Engineering companies, shipyard, and class certification society).
  • Experience in FPSO (or offshore facilities).
  • Familiarity with class requirements, and safety certifications.
  • Fluent English.
Terms & Conditions:
  • Detailed engineering expected in Lagos and partly in Fare East.
  • Construction activities (hardware assembly, staging and testing) in Nigeria and Installation and commissioning in Far East.
  • Part of FPSO integration likely to occur in Lagos.
  • Long Term Contract
