Job description:
To co-ordinate and control the movement of all materials, rental and owned, relating to the operations on client location.
Ensure compliance with established procedures, legislation and health and safety guidelines for work operation.

Job Duties
  • Control and reconcile the movement of all materials by sea and air.
  • Maintain inventory for all company owned and rental materials; ensure efficient turnaround of equipment in a cost-effective manner.
  • Co-ordinate all cargo details and documentation prior to loading and discharge of vessels to ensure a smooth and cost-effective turnaround of vessels.
  • Coordinate cargo deliveries between the base town and nearby towns if needed
  • Coordinate cargo deliveries by all contracted transport – helicopters, trucks or all-terrain/amphibious vehicles
  • Coordinate crew-changes by helicopters; deal with helicopter operators on site, resolve any arising issues
  • Align company crew-change plans with those of the contractors in order to optimize use of transport
  • Ensure safe and cost-efficient use of transport, avoid over-spending due to poor planning
  • Provide and maintain an efficient and reliable material control and stock administration facility in order to meet operational requirements.
  • Ensure the cranes, forklifts and personnel are available at the base and the drilling site at the time of loading/unloading
  • Prepare all documentation including Customs requirements, Dangerous Goods Declarations and special waste as per regulations; using computer and manual systems according to statutory and procedural requirements, ensuring all cargo is accurately documented.
  • Preparation of Reports to include but not limited to, summary of bulks, rentals, bits, tubulars, opening stock levels, usage and closing stock levels. Also a summary of vessel and helicopter movements.
  • Foster good working relationships with onshore and offshore personnel.
  • Maintain close links with offshore and onshore customers to ensure all material priorities are identified in sufficient time so that contingency plans can be implemented where required.
Requirements:
  • 10 years’ experience at a senior supervisory level in similar position
  • Experience with both onshore and/or offshore experience
  • Familiar with most of the discipline’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • May lead and direct the work of others.
  • Resolves highly complex technical issues and provides technical assurance in areas of discipline expertise.
Terms & Conditions Logistics Coordinator
  • Duration: Initial one year contract plus extension option
  • For this position, preference will be given to Nigerian nationals.
