Job Description
  • Manage the buying and delivery process of goods.
  • Responsible for monitoring deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining accurate logs of all transportation and goods.
  • Works closely with the Sales Manager to ensure the best supply chain solutions are achieved.
  • Be require to develop and maintain good client relationships delivering the very best in customer service.
  • Will coordinate all inbound and outbound traffic, maximising cost-effectiveness and tracking all consignments.
  • Be able to work as part of a team in a fast paced and pressured environment, communicating effectively with both colleagues and clients and following verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to efficiently solve problems relating to transportation of goods in locations both national and overseas.
  • Documentation and organisation is important - any changes to operating procedures, prioritisation or any problems must be documented and communicated accurately.
  • The preparation of management reports as well as analysing statistical data is also a very important part of this role
  • Engagement on growth initiatives initiated by the Direction.
  • Observe and follow all ISO and health and safety compliances, including the supervision of staff in this respect.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-years experience in logistic in the local environment and in the stock management
  • Awareness of different cultures and a diplomatic approach to any associated conflicts is required
  • Should have effective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks all with an attention to fine detail.
  • Negotiation skills are important to success
  • Must be numeric and be able to demonstrate an understanding of basic accountancy to successfully fulfill the role
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Should be fluent in English.
