Mariteam Nigeria Limited is a fully licensed Nigeria company actively involved in a range of services in offshore maritime and oil & gas sector in Nigeria. We are involved in the recruitment of maritime personnel for vessels operating for the merchant navy and on supporting offshore vessels for the oil and gas industry in Nigeria. We have been duly audited and licensed as manning agents by The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) in line with the provision of section 27 (1) (a) (c) of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency Act, 2007 and Regulation 1.4 Standard A1.4 of the Maritime Labour Convention 2006, (MLC 2006).

We are currently looking to employ an experienced candidate for the position below:

Job Title: Crewing Officer

Location: PortHarcourt, Rivers

Job Role

• Ensure effective day to day crew operation and crewing support based on quality for each vessel and seafarer
• Facilitate a good working environment and personal interaction between ship and shore
• Participate in the recruitment, evaluation, induction, training processes
• Support planning and crew operation of the vessels
• Ensure compliance with statutory, industry and business unit certifications as well as training requirements
• Visa and documentation handling
• Managing career development of the seafarers
• Performance reviews and follow up Desired Skills and Experience

Experience / Competence

• HND in Nautical or Marine Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Crewing
• Relevant Certifications and Trainings will be an advantage
• Working knowledge of STCW regulations
• Able to multitask and work well under pressure
• Ability to work in a friendly manner to standard operating procedures
• Ability to communicate competently
