Job Description
- Transporting news and production staff in a comfortable, safe and timely manner.
- Run procurement errands
- Arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle to maintain interior and exterior
- Assist staff with loading and unloading when out for media coverage/events
- Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions and to also adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
Qualification
- Minimum of an OND.
- Proven experience as a Driver
- A valid driver’s license
- A clean driving record
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Knowledge of area roads and neighbourhoods
- Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
- Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
- A polite and professional disposition
Competencies:
- Planning and organising
- Relating and networking
- Coping with pressure and setbacks: remains calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
