Job Title: Research & Rating Intern

Job Description
Under the supervision of the Head Research, Social Media and Innovation:

• Monitor mass media and social media
• Generate programme ideas
• Gather; fact-check and present relevant information, facts and figures
• Conduct regular surveys
• Write edit briefing notes and scripts
• Brief programme presenters
• Prepare cost accounts
• Study ratings and debrief with anchors and presenters.

Qualifications

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Currently enrolled for a higher degree
• Strong writing skills, and ability to convey inform ation in a clear, concise and conversational manner
• Able to work a flexible schedule from anywhere, including nights and weekends
• Ability to interact professionally and build relationships and sources
• Strong research skills, including the ability to navigate online search engines
• A valid driver’s license.

Competencies:

• Analysing numerical data and all other sources of information, to break them into component parts, patterns and relationships; probes for further information or greater understanding of a problem; makes rational judgments from the available information and analysis; demonstrates an understanding of how one issue may be a part of a much larger system.
• Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations.
