Job Title: Large Format Machine Operator

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Responsibilities

• Operates large format printing machines to create printed materials to customer specifications.
• Understands printing job requirements by studying job specifications; assessing requirements for solvent, aqueous, and UV printers; organizing job sequence; retrieving/ordering required ink, vinyl, and various substrates.
• Sets-up printers by loading stock and adjusting for size; adjusting pressures and tensions; loading rolls of vinyl; setting computer controls.
• Establishes printing quality that meets companyТs standard by pulling proof copies; adjusting, speed, and drying temperatures.
• Maintains production and quality by inspecting random production samples; loading vinyl; adjusting settings and controls; correcting jams and tears.
• Minimizes downtime by troubleshooting stoppages and breakdowns; calling for maintenance assistance.
• Shuts-down printers by removing vinyl and substrates; cleaning parts and components; returning vinyl and substrates to stock.
• Ensures printer operation by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Maintains printer supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating supplies requirements; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Performs preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines at beginning of each operation day.
• Collaborates on large projects with other company team members.
• Be part of a forward thinking fast paced team of dedicated machine operators

Requirements

• Minimum of OND or Senior School leaving Certificate.
• Previous work experience in large format machine operations, printing and print operations.
• Three to five years experience in operating Galaxy large format machines.
• Must have worked in a fast-paced mid-size company.
