We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Workshop Manager

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Objectives

• Manage / monitor the execution of Quality Management Systems, procedure and policies using statistical process control and physical inspection.
• Conducts application and analysis testing and inspection of parts and processes in order to ensure standards are met; uses same to develop, operate and improve quality control system.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of automobile mechanics engaged in repairing, adjusting, servicing, and storing motor vehicles.
• Carry out Quality Check by inspecting and driving repaired vehicles.
• Trains workers in and demonstrate repair and maintenance of vehicles, using handtools, welding, and grinding equipment.
• Evaluates performance of workers.
• Keeps inventory of repair parts and equipment and requisitions replacement stock.
• Prepares repair reports and vehicle requests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Relevant educational background
• Minimum of 10 years work experience as a supervisor/manager in the automobile industry.
• Candidate must be 45 years or older of age.
• Proficient in the use of computerized diagnostic/scanning tools.
• Thorough knowledge of standard shop methods and practices and the techniques, tools, machinery and materials of the trade.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and the necessary safe precautions.

• Ability to plan, layout, direct and supervise the work of technicians and other shop workers is of prime importance.
• Ability to make estimates of the cost of labour and materials and to arrange for procurement and supply.
• Proximity to Victoria Island/Lekki/Ajah axis is highly required.
