In order to meet increasing demands for our services, vacancy now exists for the below senior management position in our Head Office located in Lagos, Nigeria:

Job Title: Head - Brand and Communication Management

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and develop the corporate communications and brand management strategy across the subsidiaries and department within the Group and ensuring compliance with the Groups strategy and all regulatory requirements across the subsidiaries
  • Research consumer market, monitor market trends and identify potential areas of investment for subsidiaries based upon consumer needs and spending habits
  • Oversee the production of advertisement and brand visibility on TV, newspapers, magazine, email campaigns, websites, exhibition stands, road shows and liaising with art designers, copywriters, media buyers and printers
  • Organize initiatives and plan events or press conferences as well as liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, press releases and other media engagements
  • Responsibility to monitor all the Group Social media / corporate sites in order to add value to the brand.
  • Organize events like end of year awards, events, and customer appreciation outreaches and gifts in conjunction with relevant key stakeholders.
  • Constantly generating and updating the Group publications for internal and external audiences including employee newsletters.

General Qualification, Experience, Attributes and Skills Required

  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Communication Art, Humanities or other Social Sciences disciplines with membership of recognized professional bodies within or outside Nigeria. MBA / M.Sc. is an added advantage
  • A minimum of 5-year post qualification experience in senior management position working as PR / Brand Manager with proven expertise as communications specialist
  • Working knowledge of web design, content development, copy-writing and editing, photo and video editing
  • Familiarity with trends in the New Media space and ability to use all relevant social media platforms to grow the Group's brand visibility and equity
  • Excellent presentation, report writing and project management skills
  • Ideal candidates will be dynamic, growth-oriented and ready to take advantage of emerging market opportunities.
