One of our subsidiaries, an Integrated Full Service Logistic company require the services of the senior management position below:

Job Title: Managing Director

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Report to the Board of Directors and provide innovative leadership in operations, general management experience for courier, freight forwarding, delivery or B2B business services, e-commerce and haulage,
• Develop business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions
• Must have strategic plans to manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
• Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
• Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
• Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers
• Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures
• Implement health and safety procedures.

General Qualification, Experience, Attributes and Skills Required

• A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Administration or Fleet Management with membership of recognized professional bodies within or outside Nigeria. MBA / MSc is an added advantage
• Proven working experience as a logistics/courier manager with 10 years post qualification experience, and at least 5 years in leadership position.
• Working knowledge of cargo clearing and forwarding, haulage and warehousing
• Analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
• Ability to network and work in multi-cultural teams and groups.
• Ideal candidates will be dynamic, growth-oriented and ready to take advantage of emerging market opportunities.
