Job Title: Topsides PDMS & Handling Co-Ordinator

Responsibilities
  • PDMS (3D model) Coordinator is responsible to follow-up the 3D model developed by CONTRACTOR. He shall organize and coordinate COMPANY model review with engineering disciplines in order to capture defaults and clashes and ensure compliance with discipline requirements and COMPANY specifications.
  • He shall maintain and develop a register of punch points initiated by him and/or engineers through the various regular internal reviews.
  • He shall forward to CONTRACTOR all the COMPANY findings in view of their resolution by CONTRACTOR. He shall receive and analyze response from CONTRACTOR and follow-up resolution and implementation in the model. He shall ensure that all tasks are executed in accordance with the project strategies, specifications, procedures, SSHE requirements, and within timeframe while maintaining the highest work quality.
  • Shall ensure accuracy of the model elements, against vendor data and CONTRACTOR engineering drawings. He shall monitor CONTRACTOR progress in term of vendor package definition into the model, compliance with the latest vendor data. He shall ensure that LLI items are properly modeled.
  • Shall focus on access and maintainability of the various FPSO equipment, in operation and maintenance configuration. He shall review the handling devices proposed by CONTRACTOR and ensure the suitability of their capacity.
  • Shall participate to all the meetings/reviews with CONTRACTOR, and address COMPANY comments. He shall review the punch point clearance proposals made by CONTRACTOR and define their acceptability. He shall consult COMPANY engineers to ensure their approval for punch point clearance. He shall propose pro-active solutions to CONTRACTOR to resolve punch points.
  • shall support field-engineering resolution through the 3D model analysis
  • shall look after temporary facilities as required for modules load-out, transportation, integration, installation and hook-up.
  • Review vendors' proposed technical deviations and coordinate proper technical/quality review, approval and response. Coordinate with DEV/TEC specialists in HQ when required.
  • Promote and ensure an effective implementation of HSE rules and procedures under his field of responsibility.
  • Ensure close coordination with other disciplines on all engineering, and with Field Ops group on operational matters (in particular with LLIs items integration).
  • Manage & attend regular follow-up meetings with contractors, LLIs suppliers and main package vendors, when required.
  • Ensure that relevant feedback/REX from previous FPSOs are considered in the design performance.
  • Assist to resolve technical clarifications raised during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Following up of field engineering modifications as relevant.
  • Ensure correct interfacing with Hull 3D model
  • Review and approve 3D modelling and 3D review procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 5 - 10 year experience as Piping Engineer in mechanical engineering field in Oil and Gas activities.
  • Strong engineering knowledge in the 3D modeling and handling rules & principles.
  • Knowledge of PDMS software is a plus
  • Experience in FPSO, or offshore facilities, is preferred.
  • Available for technical missions worldwide.
  • Language: Fluent English.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong leadership skills and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
  • Good analytical skills.
