Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • The COO is to develop, lead and direct the implementation of company business strategy, objectives and plans focusing on operations, projects, finance, administration, human capital, business development, quality management, and other major functional areas and align them with the overall business strategies and goals of the Division and the Group.
  • The COO is to monitor, manage and report on the performance of the company including the performance of all company department heads.
  • The COO is responsible for oversight and management of risk, driving synergy and collaboration across all operations and functions, and for fulfilling the requirements of the company in line with the approved Authority Matrix.

Responsibilities

  • Run the organization that delivers operational objective of the organization to their customers and other stakeholders on time, consistently, with high quality
  • Recruit, train, promote, and retain an increasingly large organization to deliver on company goals and revenue targets
  • Implement and maintain culture throughout the organization to ensure consistent quality and aligned purpose
  • Work collaboratively with other senior leadership to ensure goals are met through sound implementation of operations systems, infrastructure, policies, processes, and staff
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals
  • High-level understanding of all business functions such as IT, HR, Finance, Regulatory and Legal, Marketing, farm and Breeding operations
  • Own expansion of facilities in Nigeria and other geographies
  • Lead the organization's thought leadership process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree qualification
  • 10 - 16 years experience.

  • Production experience with rice mill, oil palm, vegetable farm.
