Vagan Oil & Gas Limited is a Nigerian Private Limited liability Company registered under the Companies Acts of 1990, In line with the policies of the Nigerian service provision. The company core area of operation is to provide a broad spectrum of services ranging from Engineering, Pipeline & Flowline Construction / Repairs, Facility piping and maintenance, Wellhead & Christmas tree maintenance and servicing, Composite wrap technology, Equipment & Offshore/Marine Supplies etc.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fitter

Location: Port-Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Principal Responsibilities

  • Construct Structural Components Based on Blueprints
  • Inspect Structural Systems based on Local and State Building Codes
  • Fit Structural Components Together to Create Finished Systems
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Malfunctioning Systems
  • Perform Regular System Maintenance
  • Working with the use of workshop equipment such as milling machines and lathes
  • Setting up and adjusting machine tools and equipment
  • Constructing and assembling mechanical systems
  • Liaising with clients in job execution, if required
  • Strictly adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing
  • Overseeing structural systems and ensuring that they are maintained regularly.

Education and Work Experience

  • Candidates should possess an SSCE / B.Sc qualification
  • Minimum of 4 – 8 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas Industry

Certification:

  • MEM LEVEL 1- 3.

Skills:

  • Technical skills
  • Vocational skills
  • Troubleshooting systems using knowledge of how the system was designed to perform
  • Solving and repairing system issues using problem-solving skills
  • Welding components out of raw metals
  • Collaborating with other fitters on larger projects
