The Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) was founded on the 1st of April 1960 as an association of independent professional architects with the arms and objective of fostering friendship amongst members, cater for their welfare and establish mutual support and cooperation amongst them.

The Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), a Professional Institute focused on the development of Architecture and healthy Professional relationships within and outside Nigeria, seeks applications from interested and suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies at its National Secretariat located in Abuja:

Job Position: Executive Secretary

Job Description
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of the National Secretariat of the Institute as well as implementation of the Institute's activities and programmes, including decisions of its Executive Council.
Eligibility Requirements/Conditions
  • Shall not be less than Thirty-five (35) years of age.
  • Shall possess a Master's Degree in Architecture.
A degree in any of the following shall be of added advantage:
  1. Business Administration and,
  2. Public Administration; with a minimum of ten (10) years cognate experience, five (5) of which must have been in a Management position in a firm, similar organization or the Public Service.
  • Evidence of familiarity with Architects' activities and computer literacy.
  • Ability to lead a small but compact team, demonstrable initiative, honesty, integrity and excellent communication skills.

a) Educational Certificates and NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion Certificates, where applicable.

  • Previous positions held/duration.
