Details

• Carryout advisory role by assisting the Institute in the formulation and implementation of research, training and development on Sugar Engineering & Sugar Technology
• Coordinate the department in designing and formulating relevant research programs

Requirements

• First degree / MSc in Agricultural Science, Agric Extension or related degree
• Minimum of 20 years practical field/industrial practical experience in Sugarcane Agriculture
• PhD in any field of Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy or related field.
• PhD in Agricultural Biotechnology, genetic engineering/molecular biology, a good understanding of sugarcane genetics
• Fellow/member of relevant professional bodies
• Thorough knowledge of Agricultural technologies
• Knowledge of agronomic techniques and skills to improve productivity, food security and livelihoods desirable.
