Job Description
Systems & Server Administration/Help Desk Support:
- Provides servers/systems administration
- Installs and maintains network hardware and software.
- Maintains network servers such as Microsoft Exchange, SQL, SharePoint and LYNC.
- Maintains Checkpoint VPN and Endpoints encryption infrastructure.
- Assists the IT team in the design, testing, and implementation of disaster recovery and conducting vulnerability assessments.
- Maintains fileserver backups using multiple backup solutions.
- Documents the LAN/WAN/WLAN's architecture, design and layout, protocols, standards, and configuration.
- Manages Data Storage environment, resolve any storage shortages, alert and resolve any performance issues, and insure that data is available to all applications
- Acts as Escalation level support for systems support and helpdesk Staff
- Monitors and ensures all incidents are closed within an agreed set SLAs
Vendor engagement/performance management, Training and User Development:
- Works with vendors to ensure IT requirements are met
- Monitor the performance of the vendor via Report and feedback of the issue/project.
- Check/Supervise the material provided by Vendor.
- Supervise work done by the vendor and make sure they are done to specification required
- Provide End-Users Training at interval by IT team, Participating as resource person
- Manage and train users on applications and infrastructure access
- Obtain periodic user survey on the efficiency of our support to them
- Participate in research and development of relevant technical solutions.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree or HND In Information Technology, Or Computer Science/Engineering, or related discipline.
- A Minimum of 4yrs Experience In Windows Servers And Systems Administration.
- Good understanding Of System/Servers Administration, IT Service Delivery, Networking
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional and/or relevant System/Server Administration Professional Certification
- ITIL certification would be an added advantage.
- Microsoft Online Services administration (Office 365, Exchange, Lync, and SharePoint).
- Good knowledge and practical skills on IT Security.
- Help-Desk Support skills.
- Servers, Desktops and other Hardware maintenance skills.
