Job Title: Retail Buyer

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Bayelsa (Yenagoa), Abia (Aba), Edo (Benin) and Rivers

Report to: Head of Supply Chain

Job Statement

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for the review of existing store products offerings and make suggestions based on customers preferences and forecast of consumers trends.
• Monitoring of stock level and ensure the purchase of stock items within the budget.
• Evaluate vendors prices and quality of products to determine the best choice, negotiate with vendors to get the best possible deal for our company and create a relationship of trust and fair dealing. Ensure timely delivery of products from vendors to stores in perfect conditions.

Job Specification

• Minimum of B.Sc. / HND in Management, Social Sciences or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience from a recognized retail company or FMCG industry.
• The ideal candidate must have strong negotiation, analytical and numerical skill.
• Good knowledge of MS Office suite
• Familiarity with market research and forecast.
• Strong management and leadership skills.
• Candidate must have an understanding of what motivates a customer to buy a particular product.
