Job Title: Team Lead, Financial Advisory / Corporate Finance

Location: Lagos

Job Description / Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Executing Financial Advisory/Corporate Finance/Inv Bankingmandates
  • Conduct detailed financial modeling, due diligence, and valuation to develop a business case for potential investment projects
  • Undertake industry research and analysis including desktop analysis of businesses (financials, markets, products, competitors) to support pitches and advisory reports
  • Preparing pitch documents and supporting origination initiative
  • Writing investor presentations, teasers, and /or information memorandum (sales documents)
  • Contacting prospective buyers, handling the bid process, and assessing bids
  • Assisting management with their presentation to bidders, project managing the due diligence process
  • Ability to work with other professionals like Lawyers and providing commercial input to legal documentation on transactions
  • Negotiating key terms and conditions of transactions, and project manage the process, and liaising with all key parties
  • Supporting and developing members of the team by providing good leadership
  • Draft advisory reports and presentations to clients
  • Act as a filter for all transactions by performing high-level analysis to determine if the transaction is worth the execution time of the team.
  • Act as a relationship manager for existing and potential clients.

Requirements, Skills and Attributes

  • Strong analytical skill coupled with financial modeling and valuation skills
  • Good knowledge of Capital Markets and Project/Infrastructure Finance
  • Demonstrated track record of successful capital raising exercises
  • A significant level of maturity and the ability to work as a team interfacing with top company executives and senior management
  • Highly organized, with the initiative and ability to work with limited supervision
  • Strong communication and business writing skills

  • High level of drive, ambition, and goal-oriented individual
  • Good multi-tasking skills and effective process management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively within a team with leadership responsibility

  • Enthusiastic, positive, and hardworking attitude
  • Exceptional computer/Excel spreadsheet/Powerpoint/Wordskills
  • Fluency in oral and written French will be an added advantage
  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree qualification.
  • 6 years Experience.
