Position Description

Provide effective and efficient mechanical engineering support to surface hydrocarbon production, processing and transportation systems through their life cycle for both Onshore/Offshore and Floating Facilities

Position Requirements
Job Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities
  • Provide effective and efficient mechanical engineering support to surface hydrocarbon production, processing and transportation systems through their life cycle for both Onshore/Offshore and Floating Facilities
  • Designs or studies mechanical modification to hydrocarbon processing and associated onshore/offshore and floating facilities.
  • Execute capital projects according to the scope, schedule and budget.
  • Responsibility for project development: preliminary engineering to detail designs to construction and the final and safe turnover to operations.
  • Engineering Services design contractor activities during the development of project proposal, include definition of project work scope and schedule requirements. Development of detailed estimate leading to funding appropriation and approval.
  • Develop and preparation of contracting plan and strategy for solicitation, evaluation and award of contract for detail engineering, procurement and construction.
  • Manage contractor preparation of detailed design drawings, material specifications and procurement, and/or construction bid packages.
  • Coordinate activities and resolve issues among proponents, contractors and other parties to allow construction activities to progress according to plan and final mechanical completion.
Job Specifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Member of a Recognised Engineering Institution i.e. Nigerian Society of Engineering or COREN.
  • Approximately 10+ years post graduate experience. The successful candidate will be required to have experience in Mechanical Design/Engineering and Project Engineering.
