Role Summary/Purpose:
The Other SSA Controller demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilise your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Translate specific financial-guidelines (GE, GAAP, stat., etc.) into practical business solutions
  • Use experience and knowledge of the line of business and trends to determine materiality of variances in the financial statements
  • Error free and timely reporting of financial reporting and other accounting schedules to HQ, partner with GOF teams on quarterly and annual closing process
  • Track compliance filings in terms of stat and tax across countries to ensure zero defects
  • Ensure the accuracy of the organization’s financial results by recognizing and preventing misrepresentation, concealment, or omission of information
  • Establish appropriate financial process routines and controls to identify activities that may cause the misstatement of financial position
  • Use knowledge of financial transactions and insurance accounting to ensure reasonableness of finance-specific business metrics
  • Identify new accounting standards applicable to the business and develops appropriate implementation strategy
  • Work effectively with business leaders to proactively drive key initiatives to successful conclusion.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Holds an Accounting Professional Qualification (ACCA, CIMA or similar)
  • Significant years of experience in an accounting position.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • PC proficiency.
