The Resource Haven, a business and human resources consultancy firm is recruiting suitably qualified candidate to fill the position below:

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions.

Requirements

• Hands on experience in networking security, databases and cloud systems
• Profound knowledge in various scripting languages, system & server administration and mass system deployments
• Wide knowledge in operating system administration include Linux, Windows & programing languages, cloud platform deployment and networking protocols
• Experience with Kubernete, Docker, Helm
• Experience with GIT Source Control Tools – to keep track of changes they make to their projects, so they can easily return to older versions of their code at any time. This is especially helpful when trying identify and fix bugs in code.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools e.g., Azure CI/CD tools, Jenkins, Octopus
• Team Management Tools – To guide and track team movements as Jira, Trello, Agile Manager or Agile Bench.
• Good understanding of concepts like Infrastructure as Code
