Roles and Responsibilities
  • The main responsibility for this role is to take ownership for the technical roadmap and strategy for West Africa... and to implement it. It will be to establish TE’s presence in these territories as a market leader to help build the TE brand as a dominant player and relied upon technology.
  • The candidate is to be a conduit into the product management team.
  • The role requires regular visits to the different countries (mostly neighbouring) covered in these territories, as well as travel to Europe and South Africa for training and other business related meetings… therefore the ability and willingness to travel is a job requirement… as well as the necessary passport.
  • Although the candidate needs to have a strong technical ability, the role has a sales and business development focus too. The successful candidate needs to be able to comfortably present to customers at all levels.
  • candidate will also need to assist the Sales Team in the following areas:
1.) The product mix, pricing and margins according to the stipulated TE guidelines.
2.) To maintain and develop existing and new end-customers through the appropriate propositioning and ethical sales methods.
3.) A high level of service to ensure the delivery of the expected levels of customer satisfaction.
4.) Internal liaison and relationships within many TE departments is also a key to success.
5.) Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems (e.g. Salesforce.com) and update relevant information held in these systems.
6.) Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities, e.g. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
7.) Respond to and follow-up sales enquiries using appropriate methods. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
8.) Record, analyse, report and administer according to systems & requirements.
9.) Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
10.) Attend and present at external customer and partner and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
11.) Attend training and develop relevant personal knowledge, techniques & skills.
12.) Adhere to health and safety policies, and other requirements relating to the care of equipment,Nigeria.

Qualifications and Skills
  • B.Sc qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a related role, i.e. sales, business development, account management, channel management, pre-sales and/or technical consultant in the Telecoms and/or related ICT.
