Job Description
- Candidates that are currently living and working in Port Harcourt preferred
- A good all-rounder, with interest in both contentious and non—contentious matters.
- Good understanding of the workings of the Superior Courts in Rivers State and neighbouring states.
- Well-developed relationships with key government agencies in Rivers State.
- Proactive self-starter, with ability to work with significant autonomy, and supervise junior lawyers/support staff.
- Demonstrable experience in, and a talent for, business development.
- Entrepreneurial, with capacity to grow a practice from the bottom up.
- Good understanding of the legal and regulatory framework for the Nigerian oil and gas industry

Requirements
- The ideal candidates are expected to meet the following requirements:
- At least 7 years post qualification relevant experience.
- Robust experience (either from a relevant industry ora reputable lawfirm).
- Strong academic background (at least a 2.1, either at LLB or BL),
- Superior drafting and communication skills.
- Hardworking, with ability to work with minimal supervision, and comfortable in a fast paced environment.
- Innovative, open-minded and commercially aware.
- High sense of logic and developed capacity for lateral thinking.
- Team player with a client focused approach.
- Enthusiastic about business development.
