Overview External:
Chevron Nigeria Limited is accepting online applications for the position Operations supervisor, Turnaround, EGTL Escravos.

Position Details:
This position will supervise, coordinate, and direct activities of the assigned facilities and/or related equipment during the Chevron Turnaround project management process (IMPacT) planning phase, through execution, to the post-turnaround phase. Incumbent will follow the IMPacT process in detail, including developing training modules for the scoping, detailed planning and pre-execution phase deliverables and ensuring the Operations Advisors are fluent with all deliverables. This position will provide oversight to the Operations Advisors during the planning phases, critical operational activities of shutting down the various units, during the clean-up processes, and the start-up processes of the various units. The position will ensure all work is conducted in adherence to operational procedures and Chevron’s safety and environmental procedures and guidelines. Provide daily written update reports to senior plant management and facilitate daily senior management update meetings. This position will mentor and develop less experienced team members. Must be able to manage high complexity, high pressure, fast-paced situations. Work schedule will be a rotational 28/28 or 14/14 position. Must be prepared to work extended hours/days during turnaround execution.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other equivalent technical certification.

Experience:
Minimum of 10 years experience in turnaround maintenance in a petrochemical facility or refinery, three of which must be at supervisory level.

Other requirements include the following:
  • Proven turnaround experience in a petrochemical plant as a surveillance operator, and as a console or lead operator.
  • Demonstrable experience in planning and execution of shut down, clean-up and start-up of petrochemical plants.
  • Working knowledge of plant drawings, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), piping and electrical drawings, safe charts, cause and effects.
  • Ability to develop isolation plan with sound knowledge of Lock-Out, Tag-out (LOTO) processes.
  • Proven knowledge of Turnaround / Capital Project planning process.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the operation of Gas-To-Liquids equipment and processes.
