Job Title: Animal Scientist (Cattle Farm Supervisor)

Job Summary

• Swiftconsulting is looking for an animal scientist to fill the role of a cattle farm manager for our client who is into agriculture and food processing.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing existing operations livestock, casual staff, and financial documents and recommending improvements.
• Preparing plans and schedules for cattle farm improvement e.g. breeding.
• Ensuring supplies are regularly restocked.
• Scheduling repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery.
• Handling the marketing and sale of products produced on the farm e.g. processed cattle products.
• Ensuring all staff adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Assisting with the recruitment and training of new casual staff members.
• Preparing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to help management make decisions.
• Building professional networks and keeping abreast of developments in agricultural science.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or equivalent.
• Experience Length: 3 Years
• Additional courses in Business Management or Administration will be an added advantage
• Extensive experience in animal farming.
• Management experience would be a plus.
• A passion for Agriculture; cattle farming.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• The ability to make decisions in stressful environments.
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Salary
N60,000 - N100,000 monthly.
