The
University of Lagos (UNILAG), a Federal Government University in Lagos, Lagos State, southern Nigeria, has remained one of the best and renowned in the country. Description
- Candidate for this post should possess a good first degree and a Ph.D. Degree in the respective field from a recognized University with at least five (5) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable institution of higher learning.
- Candidate must possess evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals and ability to supervise post-graduate students including doctorate students in areas of expertise. Knowledge of the following technologies will be an advantage: RFLP/SNP/SSR/AFLP technology ; PCR; Gel electrophoresis; PAGE; DNA sequencing; ability to use software packages for analysis.
- Retrieval of biological evidence,DNA- based analysis of biological samples from crime scene.
- Candidate must have been a Lecturer I for a minimum of three years.
Areas of Specialization:
- Cell Biology OR Molecular Biology OR Environmental Biology, Forensic Biology, Genetics.
Remuneration
- CONUASS 5 (N1,653,415.00 - N2,348,299.00) per annum.
