Job Title: Hospital Administrator

Location: Benin City, Edo
Report to: The MD

Job Description

  • Organize and oversee health services and daily activities of the facility
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination within the facility
  • Coordinate meetings or conference calls as needed
  • Maintains records for staff and work tools
  • Schedule medical appointments
  • Order and maintain clinical and office supplies
  • Head and coordinate the Managed Care services of the facility
  • Verify accuracy of patient insurance information
  • Liaise with HMOs on all matters relating to service delivery of their enrollees with the facility
  • Ensure database of prospective clients (HMOs, Corporate Organizations and individuals, etc) are maintained
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic office environment
  • Assist with record keeping required by the government
  • Supervise daily administrative operations including support to the front desk for optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement effective policies for all operational procedures.
  • Prepare work schedules
  • Report all payments, claims and other financial transactions of the facility to the company’s Accountant
  • Manage the facility’s electronic medical records in collaboration with the IT unit
  • Undertake other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Health Administration, Business Administration, Health Sciences or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a Health care setting
  • Management training is an advantage
  • Logistics and Supply chain training is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in the areas of health systems and/or managed care/HMO will be added advantage
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Knowledge of office procedures
